Requesting a New Computing Account

The information below describes the process for gaining access to computing resources operated by LLNL at Livermore Computing (LC). If questions remain after reading this document, please direct them to Teresa Delpha of the LC Customer Services Group (CSG).

Open Computing Facility

U.S. Citizens

LLNL Employees

  1. Complete cyber security training course CSO149-W, Proper Usage of LLNL Unclassified Computers, Networks, and Peripherals.
  2. Log on to the LC Identity Management System to "Request a Special Purpose LC Username." You may then "Add OCF Computing Resource Account."

Collaborators

  1. Complete cyber security training course CSO149-W, Proper Usage of LLNL Unclassified Computers, Networks, and Peripherals.
  2. Contact your LC sponsor to "Request a Special Purpose LC Username" and "Add OCF Computing Resource Account" via the the LC Identity Management System.

ASC Alliance or DOE Sites (other than LLNL)

  1. Complete cyber security training course CSO149-W, Proper Usage of LLNL Unclassified Computers, Networks, and Peripherals.
  2. Complete and submit the SARAPE account request form.

Foreign Nationals

NOTE: Foreign Nationals (FNs) and most Sensitive Country FNs, regardless of Permanent Resident Alien status or nationality

LLNL Employees

  1. Complete cyber security training course CSO149-W, Proper Usage of LLNL Unclassified Computers, Networks, and Peripherals.
  2. Complete VTS form IA-473 (under the "Foreign Visits and Assignments" area).
  3. Log on to the LC Identity Management System to "Request a Special Purpose LC Username." You may then "Add OCF Computing Resource Account."

Collaborators

  1. Complete cyber security training course CSO149-W, Proper Usage of LLNL Unclassified Computers, Networks, and Peripherals.
  2. Contact your LC sponsor to complete the required VTS form. When approved, "Request a Special Purpose LC Username" and "Add OCF Computing Resource Account" via the the LC Identity Management System.

ASC Alliance or DOE Sites (other than LLNL)

  1. Complete cyber security training course CSO149-W, Proper Usage of LLNL Unclassified Computers, Networks, and Peripherals.
  2. Complete the SARAPE account request form.

Secure Computing Facility

LLNL Employees/Collaborators

  1. You must have a Q clearance.
  2. Log on to the LC Identity Management System. If you do not already have an account for OCF resources, you must first "Request a Special Purpose LC Username." You may then "Add SCF Computing Resource Account."

ASC Alliance or DOE Sites (other than LLNL)

If you are requesting an account for LLNL secure ASC systems, complete and submit the SARAPE account request form.

If you are requesting an account for resources at Pantex or Y-12, complete and submit the SecureNet Guest Account Request form.
