The LC Hotline will automatically subscribe you to the appropriate machine-status lists when you are given a new account on a machine. We recommend that you always use the official ID form of your e-mail address when subscribing to e-mail lists because it won't change, while e-mail aliases do change.
To subscribe to a mailing list, send e-mail to email@example.com. (Note: If using Outlook for e-mail, please ensure that the message is in plain text format.) In the body of the e-mail, type:
where list_name is the name of the list without the @llnl.gov (e.g., ocf-status). You do not need to specifiy your e-mail-name (your complete Internet e-mail address, e.g., firstname.lastname@example.org) unless you want the mailings to go to a different address than the one from which you are sending the list request. Note: If you use a "signature block" at the end of your mail messages, you must conclude your majordomo query with a line with the single word "end" to prevent majordomo from processing your signature as bad commands.
To unsubscribe, use unsubscribe, i.e.,
Send e-mail to email@example.com and in the body of the e-mail, type
You do not need a subject line. e-mail-name is the official ID form of your e-mail name. If you have more than one e-mail name, you could type just e-mail-name and you will receive an e-mail with all the lists that all variants of the e-mail-name are on. (Only lists enabled to supply this information will be returned in response to the request.) Note: If you use a "signature block" at the end of your mail messages, you must conclude your majordomo query with a line with the single word "end" to prevent majordomo from processing your signature as bad commands.
Use the Exchange Tools to update selected personal information, such as e-mail alias or e-mail delivery address, and Majordomo mailing list memberships. This Web interface is for LLNL personnel only. Login requires an Official User Name (OUN) and Personal Access Code (PAC).
