Modification to attaching to a subset of executing processes

The window interface way of attaching to a subset of executing processes has been modified. The window listing the processes to chose from now specifies the MPI rank of the process.

Modification to root window condense

The practice of condensing the root window for processes in the same state has been changed to allow user preference if and when the user wants the root window to be automatically condensed. Prior to this release, the root window was always condensed.

The default number of processes required before automatic condensing is are their greater than 16 processes. That is, if you have 16 or less processes, TotalView will not do root window condensing. If you have more than 16 processes, TotalView will do root window condensing. The user may change this value by the following setting in their .Xdefaults file:

where n is the number of processes required before TotalView will do root window condensing. For example, to always have TotalView do root window condensing, set n=0. To never have the root window condensed, set n=100000, or some other high number.
