Achieving 50–100 times performance increase on real applications over today’s most powerful HPC platforms, such as Sierra, as quickly and energy efficiently as possible, will force fundamental changes in all computer components. To reach this goal—and to prepare for future exascale systems—we are developing new algorithms and tools that help researchers address these complexities and fully exploit the systems’ performance.
