Sponsored by the DSI, LLNL’s winter hackathon took place on February 16–17. In addition to traditional hacking, the hackathon included a special datathon competition in anticipation of the Women in Data Science (WiDS) conference on March 7.
Each new season brings another hackathon, and Computing’s 2021 summer event took place on August 12–13.
The Data Science Institute sponsored LLNL’s 27th hackathon on February 11–12. Organizers offered a deep learning tutorial and presentations showcasing data science techniques.
Computing’s summer hackathon was held virtually on August 6–7 and featured presentations from teams who tested software technologies, expanded project features, or explored new ways of analyzing data.
New year, new hackathon! The January 30–31 event was Computing’s 23rd hackathon and the 1st scheduled in the winter season.
